COD EAST VALLEY CENTER Located on 100 acres in the East Coachella Valley, The East Valley Center will serve as the focal point and anchor of a 600-acre master-planned community known as Panorama. In addition to negotiating the donation of the 100-acre campus property from the developer, PPV also negotiated the capping of the college’s costs for campus-related infrastructure at an estimated $7 million below estimated cost.
The initial phase of the East Valley Center campus opened in 2008.
COD WEST VALLEY CENTER A 100-acre campus property donation at the western end of the district has been negotiated by PPV with the City of Palm Springs, the property owner. PPV has helped arrange a transfer of Federal Bureau of Land Management property through the City of Palm Springs to the District at no cost to the District. The City of Palm Springs pledged an additional $10 million in contributions to infrastructure, and general campus support.
PPV is currently negotiating the development of a 10 Megawatt solar photovoltaic field for a significant portion of the campus that will not be required for Center expansion for the next 20 years. PPV is also negotiating shared use leases with two private universities that will occupy space at the new campus.
